Description

My Son purchased a cloth green screen for his computer gaming multiple monitor monstrosity.  I searched multiple model sites for a “T” rail drop ceiling mount that would hold the cloth screen and only could find hook or . I found a small drop ceiling clip by solarbotic on thingiverse and an openscad tarp clip2_scad file and developed the clip. I cut and modified solarbotic’s mount to the tarp clip scad to create this final version.  It grips the cloth material well and can be easily taken down when not in use.

*Each clip uses one M4 x 16mm hex head screw and nut

Printed nicely! Works as expected - although I couldn't get both sides of the clip to slide over the rail, only one side would latch at a time. Used PLA, which might have something to do with it. I also chose to use button screws in combination with a wing nut, which worked nicely for screwing it hand tight (rather than the suggested press fit nut + hex head screw)

Was looking at your photo and trying to view the type of rail your mounted on. I finished my basement about 15 years ago with an Armstrong Drop Ceiling Kit I purchased from Lowes. I used 2' X 4' Tiles with 15/16" rails that the part wil clip over the "T" rail cross T bar as shown in first photo. this is a standard construction size. If your rail is wider you should be able to scale up a bit to make it larger to accomidate your rail. If you can send me more inforation I can see what I can do.

From what I can measure these are also 15/16" - not sure what type of rails they are but I'm presuming they're the same style. Scaling it up is probably the easiest option. Did you have to do any fancy movement to get the clip over the edge? This is somewhat of a fuzzy photo but is about as close as I can get it edit: oops didn't reply right, @rgb732

Hi. My clip is printed in PLA+ inland. I just hooked one side on the top rail and applied a little presure and it snaps over the other side. Nothing fancy just a solid click and was in place. You are correct looks like the same style drop ceiling. The Black color looked like an open space when I saw your first posted photo. Unless you have extremely Brittle filament it should snap right over the other side. thanks for the rating.
