Description

Very basic decorative stand and 5 x 32mm bases

Designed for friction fit so holes are provided on one print to allow for bases to be poked through from the back to avoid stressing the model/base joint.

Printed on P1S originally hence tolerances are tight, reducing scaling on x/y of bases by about 0.3% can help with fit.

Printed originally with low density infill (5%) and worked fine, but higher levels can help create a smoother brickwork effect on the top layer.

Photo's shown with black undercoat and white drybrush.

This is exactly what I was looking for! I also had no problems printing it. Everything worked perfectly. I adapted it for my IKEA SKADIS system and am currently building matching displays for the other base sizes. Thank you for this wonderful project!

My apologies if this translation is poor I used Google Translate When I have time I plan to redesign this project this weekend with a base size of 40 mm Thank you for the positive comments

This model has a bunch of faults, like non-manifold edges and missing layers when downloading the STLs

Is this on the with holes or without holes model - there were some very minor faults on the without holes version but it still printed fine, i've not run further testing on the other version yet. I'm new to this and the repair attempts outside of the slicer actually made it unprintable - whilst the model itself printed fine with the minor errors, I've tried this now with prusaslicer and bambu -slices fine from both the stl and 3mf files, though I strongly advice you to use the 3mf, the stl for the base itself was left in a way that you can cut it down to whatever dimensions you need in the slicer of choice.

The one with the holes. There were things like extra tiles in thin air, unbounded meshes etc. Did the STL / CAD files cus I was printing in Prusaslicer. In any case, I got a print out of it and good model!

Cheers I'll take a look at it. I modified that one in bambu studio directly rather than at source and it has negative objects which prusaslicer struggles with. Might be worth taking a look at the base file (the one with overhanging bricks) and cutting it down and adding holes in prusa for yourself if you want it urgently as I have a heavy work week and its going to take me a while to get it fixed.
