Note: Afterburner is set to use PETG Clear Filament. Clear PLA should work also but not tested.
Model requires close tolerances to ensure snug but not tight or loose fit
Make sure the model cools to room temperature before assembly
Ensure filament is properly calibrated with no excessive over extrusion
If there is some over extrusion the parts may need to be lightly sanded at interfaces for fitment
Ensure good bed adhesion
Make sure printer is fully calibrated
Make sure print bed is clean & dry (soapy water is my favorite for cleaning - simple & works)
Make sure filament is dry (wet filament can generate non-continuous flow that can cause bed adhesion issues)
Cooling & Temps - make sure they are correct for your printer, build plate, and filament
Smooth PEI plate is recommended
Assembly
Remove all pieces from the kit
Debur as needed to smooth edges
Insert clear translucent PETG filament into slot (optional, for LEDs) & trim to length (NOTE: Tight fit slot. Use pliers for leverage to push filament through slot).
Add LEDs to lower fuselage (optional)
Insert afterburner & warm white LED to upper fuselage (optional)
Great print! I used a 0.16 layer height witch made a total of 146 filament changes. A flushing volume of 0.6 was used along with flush into infill. My friend is going to love it, thanks!
another awesome model! I printed it with 2 colors and 2 of these ring fidget toys as flush items. I also printed the ammunition seperate to cut down on poop. between only 2 colors, the fidget toys and printing the ordanice seperate, as well as changing the flush volume settings, was able to put the poop to around 18-20 grams
perfect model! I would like to request a MiG-29 as a future project
thanks, im still learning. the A1 with AMS lite is my first multicolor printer. Most of the things Ive mention is stuff ive seen on YouTube. but they definitely help
It was great print! My 13 year old loved it for his birthday. I played with a filament change and I like the way it turned out. Thanks for a great design!
