This is obviously inspired by all the similar versions available - but is modelled from scratch in Fusion 360.
I've taken inspiration from machine parts from other industries, in my case for fiber optic cable duct blowing/jetting techniques and its relevant equipment equipment.
This particular model is scaled down from a part on a handheld cable blowing machine I've been designing, but never got around to finish.
I printed with the screw hole that was already in my model - turns out it fits the top right screw for the right side panel (on the back) perfectly. In the kit that comes with the printers (P1/X1's) - there's a couple of spare screws for the complimentary hot end, that is long enough to mount it by the silicone grommet/sock that goes to the extruder.
I just modelled the holes for the connectors as ¼ ACME that best fit the connectors I had lying around - but whatever you've got in ¼ inch / M6 should work with a little wiggling.
I needed this late one night - and thought I'd upload it now as my first publication on here. I'll keep working on it and upload versions for different connector types and adaptations when I get the time… I should also probably try to finish the cable blowing machine as well, but i digress…
PS! I'd print this at 101-102% depending on how you've dialed in your speeds and tolerances. I just printed a couple on the same plate, and ended up with a scale of 101% that worked just fine. Happy printing :)
