Description

A1 After using the AMS lite for top mounting, there is no suitable place to put a separate spool holder. Sometimes, to print TPU, a separate spool holder is still needed. So I designed this bracket to fix the independent spool holder.

It makes use of the official top-mounted AMS Lite body reinforcement base to place this spool holder bracket. I feel that placing it here is very harmonious, takes up little space, is stable and reliable, and has a good visual effect.

Installation is very simple, the model fits perfectly with the original base, and is very stable when fixed. It only requires three screws for fixing, and I used the original AMS Lite fixing screws that came with the machine. I'm sure if you look through those bags of screws for the A1, you'll find them too.

The left tray rack includes two styles:

  1. Level: Need to change the direction of the spool holder, you can refer to:https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/a1/maintenance/spool-holder, this plan is more recommended.
  2. Tilt: No need to change spool-holder

If you need to install the spool on the right, you can visit:

When using AMS lite and an independent spool holder at the same time, a T-joint is needed to avoid frequent plugging and unplugging of the PTFE tube. I recommend printing:

  1. Extended feed inlet (tee):https://makerworld.com/en/models/1012963
  2. 6-port Clip:https://makerworld.com/en/models/1013012

Hi, thanks so much for creating this! I did notice, however, that the shaft of the left-side spool holder is oriented at a 45-degree angle, whereas the right-hand version is horizontal. Just a thought—would it be possible to adjust the left-side version so that its shaft remains horizontal as well? The reason I bring this up is that, with a horizontal shaft matching the right-hand version, we’d be able to mount the manual spool holder the same way as the right-hand one. This would keep the infill hidden (as seen in your photos), and it would just require reversing the side the PTFE tube and the spool holder is installed on. You can see what I mean in the attached photo. Also for reference, here’s a link with details on how to disassemble the spool holder for this kind of adjustment: https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/a1/maintenance/spool-holder Thanks again for all your hard work on this!

It turns out that this spool holder can be assembled into a mirrored structure. This is indeed much more elegant. If I had known earlier that it could be assembled this way, I wouldn't have needed to design this angled left-side version. Thank you for your guidance. I will update it to a structure that is symmetrical with the right side.

You are the best! Its already nice having this be on the left side making it work in my enclosure but, also having the mount point in the upper stiffener hole makes my clip in poop bucket easier to work with=)
