Filament Spool for Bambulab Refills – A Refined Remix


 

This filament spool is designed specifically to hold official Bambulab filament refills, providing a seamless fit with the original Bambulab attachment system renowned for its exceptional reliability. As a remix of the original design, this spool maintains compatibility and functionality while offering a practical and user-friendly solution for your 3D printing needs.


 

For optimal performance with the AMS (Automatic Material System) on Bambulab P-Series and C-Series printers, we recommend printing this spool in PETG for its durability and flexibility. However, my personal experience proves it works flawlessly even when printed in PLA Basic or PLA Matte—zero issues so far!


 

Additionally, I’ve incorporated three integrated anchor points directly into the rim of the spool. These ensure the filament stays securely in place, preventing the loose end from getting lost, without interfering with the smooth unwinding of the spool during use.


 

Whether you choose PLA or PETG, this spool delivers smooth operation, efficient filament management, and thoughtful design enhancements for an improved 3D printing experience.

A truly magnificent print :) I am eager to see how it functions. However, I have a question: what is the purpose of the spacers?

Those spacers are a safety lock to ensure that the spool doesn't turn open while rolling in the AMS. They're not needed, they're just an extra safety.
