Description

3/20/2025 update:

Thanks to feedback on this model, I have changed the strength profile of this to increase its rigidity. The changes are as follows:
- Sparce infill density increased to 35%
- Sparce infill pattern changed to Gyroid
- Bolt moved closer to card press box on print plate to allow less travel across the plate to print it.

These changes should reduce stress on the box and more likely to prevent the bolt from breaking from too much force being applied to it.

Original Post:

Made for double sleeves or foil cards, helps remove the extra air trapped inside extra sleeves or revert foil cards and give it more of a flat memory.

Fits 100 double sleeved +

No Supports needed

how long do the cards need to stay in to get the air out? overnight?

honestly depends on climate and moisture parameters etc. but I’ve left mine in for over 24 hrs and realized it wasn’t long enough. if you’re just trying to pull the air out then not as long for like a double sleeve setup. but if you’re flattening foils then it varies and takes longer in my experience

This press came out great! I had a nice cycle going while I sleeved up a handful of decks. I did have the threaded rod snap on my near the end and I had to print a new one, so don't crank down on it too hard!

thanks I think I’ll try to redesign this with a thicker bolt. your feedback is appreciated!

I was cranking down on it pretty hard! I don't know how much of it is the bolt itself. It could be a PLA thing. I'm curious if PETG would be more durable.

Could the screw not be cut lengthwise into two halves and both parts printed lying down? Glue both parts together, and it's done… this way it definitely won't break

Prints without fail right from the project file, much more durable than the previous version (hasn't broken yet but I'm also PETG this time and being more "gentle" after the last time I printed the press) and super helpful for getting the air out of a deck of double-sleeved cards (:

Only issue was I didn't read the other comments that stated the bolt (threaded part) breaks on using too much pressure with PLA - and I used PLA - it still works great just use my fingers to squeeze the plate down so the pressure is only on the bolt after I screw it down snug to the plate while squeezing. Will try ABS or PETG on next iteration. Photos are double sleeved commander deck before squeeze and after - and the two pieces I broke off of the bolt.

I also just revamped the print profile for on 3/20 to make it stronger. not sure if this happened before that or not but I like your idea that’s a good way to pre press it to get the most out of the press

good design but print the threased part in pla+/tough pla or in petg or any other stronger material. printed whole thing in matte pla since i had a lot of it not thinking about the threaded part and it snapped in half

Love the idea behind this print. Would be cool to have a longer screw for single sleeved 50 card decks or have the screw reach all the way to the bottom. This print is pretty useful for board games that get sleeved up.

I had one and it got taken down as a violating terms because inhaled it as a seperate print profile with this print, yesterday so I will add it to the main print profile.

it printed clean and works mechanically but it doesn't actually bend the cards back to flat. great idea and I'm happy I got to try it out

yea this is ideally better for like a double sleeved deck or freshly sleeved deck to remove the air and give the sleeves some more of a flat memory. it helps a little with foils that are really warped but will never be 100% usually about 2-3 days will do some significance on warped foils. thank you
