Description

Do you have a Husky Shelving Unit, similar to this? This should fit snugly over one of the braces or beams.

I originally printed gadget's Wall-Mounted Tool Organizer but it kept slowly creeping down or getting knocked off by me reaching around the printer. I used their model as a guide and designed a new one in Fusion 360 with a lip, added hexagons to match some other items I printed and changed up the bottom design. The lip is 5mm of clearance and should fit the Husky brand shelving unit linked above or similar with a brace/beams no thicker than 5mm.

  • Prints with no supports
  • Model includes custom brims (thank you @gadget_1 for the idea) for better bed adhesion (cut away after print)
  • 6x3mm Magnets are press fit into the back (glue not needed)

I added magnet holes on the back side to help keep it in place if you don't have enough tools in there to keep it weighed down. I happened to have the same 6x3mm magnets on hand as @gadget_1's model.

This is my first upload, so feel free to give me some constructive criticism.

Edit1:
If you need just a tool holder, please visit my other upload that is based off this model.

love the functionality of this little organiser, fits well on my shelving. Slight oversight as I didn't check where the seams were (not defaulted to edge) and there's overhanging on the inside (it might be my filament which was new out of packet but not dried) but all this does not impact functionality. Overall it's a great item to print.

Thank you for the feedback! I had the seams on a corner but it came out really rough. So I moved it but didn't realize I put it that far into the print. I will move it closer to a corner. The overhanging wasn't near that bad for me on my filament. Not sure how to fix it?

@not_sliim The design fits perfectly the shelf and all the mentioned stuff is just cosmetic. The seam could maybe be on the inside of the container (maybe .. just thinking out loud, I'm new to all of this). I know you adapted this design, maybe the base of the container be a smaller angle to reduce the possible internal overhang. Again, thank you for a great model :)

Solid print that snaps right into place. Works really well for keeping the small stuff in place.
