Description

Pop up glass top for P1S .  but hey you can print the parts on any printer you like :D

Youtube links.

lab tested!

Drag chain after 2 or 3 link removal

Closing with weight

Simple and uses less material than most. Works in PLA but if your planning on printing abs or higher temps id print this in PETG or better.

The design is about as simple as it gets, nothing fancy just gets the job done.  Pictures show pretty much all you need to install. No extra hardware just use the same screws that hold your side panel secure.

Everything prints on the one plate use the profile  as it has orientation, supports and extra strength for the arms.

All you need to add is some very good double sided tape. I have use generic, gorilla  and  3M and all worked well.

*Some say the drag link chain is a problem but all you need do is remove 3 links then feed the excess cable back into the far back left corner.

*The PTFE tube was not a problem.

*The  Lower left and right base units have very tight “snap” tolerances this is to keep the socket tight. I have found it best  when setting the arms to turn the whole unit up side down on a very solid surface and give a hard thud with your palm. Be sure to note the front and rear arms as the back arms are keyed for the “Bump Stops”.  A small amount of lube goes a long way to helping the arms push in.

*The top left and right are a lot easier to push in as these are designed to snap out if you should want to work on your printer.

*Once you have the  assemblies installed  add your Double sided tape install the glass panel and then lift the brackets up to meet the glass.(this is the only way this will work for proper alignment)

The glass panel should lift with a gentle push from the inside with a finger and a pushing motion from your front Bambu handle.

To get the glass to lift clean from just the handle add some felt tabs or similar to the rear to adjust the back of the glass higher then the back lip.

The lid comfortably handles  5kg weight but for this it's suggest when lifting and lowering you place a hand on the under side of the glass.

This model has a print profile for the X1 Carbon. However, there is no way to mount the left arm on the X1 Carbon. There are electronics in the rail where the arm would mount. You should remove the X1C profile to prevent people from wasting filament like I did. haha

Technically it's still printable on the X1C so the profile is correct. Also the description does say for the P1S.

This is designed as a lift to go up/down at need, not just a fixed riser, correct?
