Description

A1 After using the AMS lite for top mounting, there is no suitable place to put a separate spool holder. Sometimes, to print TPU, a separate spool holder is still needed. So I designed this bracket to fix the independent spool holder.

It makes use of the official top-mounted AMS Lite body reinforcement base to place this spool holder bracket. I feel that placing it here is very harmonious, takes up little space, is stable and reliable, and has a good visual effect.

Installation is very simple, the model fits perfectly with the original base, and is very stable when fixed. It only requires three screws for fixing, and I used the original AMS Lite fixing screws that came with the machine. I'm sure if you look through those bags of screws for the A1, you'll find them too.

Updated on 2025-1-8:

  • The design of the support structure has been adjusted to be more compact and stronger in support strength.
  • Released the left-side installation version.

If you need to install the spool on the left, you can visit:

When using AMS lite and an independent spool holder at the same time, a T-joint is needed to avoid frequent plugging and unplugging of the PTFE tube. I recommend printing:

I see that your spool is very close to the wall, if replacing it is inconvenient, you might consider installing the version on the left side. https://makerworld.com/en/models/965641

Hey this looks really nice! I'm currently printing the top mount, how's this adapter holding up with you ? Did you print in PLA or PETG ? Thx for the model!

I'm using it quite well, you need to prepare a slightly longer PTFE tube. It is recommended to use PETG, I use PETG for any model that needs to withstand force.

The part installs perfectly, however, be aware that the PTFE tube is very taut when the print head is at the opposite end
