Description

Boost Me (for free)

Trying to get a Bambu printer to level up my prints! 17 and excited to create—any support means a lot! 😃

Update 4/4 - 2025

For everyone who’s been asking, it’s now possible to buy a commercial license for this model.

You can get it on my store: https://albertmakes.gumroad.com/

Why I Designed It

This is the third version of one of my most useful and popular models.

I created the original model to help people with long nails. However, I discovered that many others, including those with arthritis and other dexterity or motor issues, also found it useful.

Version 3 Improvements

The new version includes several enhancements:

  • Larger Keychain Hole
  • New Wider Design
  • New More Robust Design
  • New, More Ergonomic Design

Printing Instructions

The models have been tested with these settings and they are recommended.

  • Orientation: Print flat with no supports.
  • Nozzle Size: 0.4 mm.
  • Layer Height: 1.5 mm.
  • Infill: At least 50% for maximum sturdiness.
  • Material: Printed with PLA, but other filaments should work just as well.

After printing

After its done printing, you take it off the build plate, slide the model on the soda can tap, and then simply push up to open the soda can.

Support Issue:There was no supports, definitely not the best solution. I printed it through bambu handy. I recommend set supports / default / snug / only on the buildplate.

Printed just as nice as the V2. Feels a bit sturdier, will be testing it over the coming days but V2 worked perfectly too.
