Description

Adorable edamame peapod with satisfying clicky sound and action.

You'll just need to insert 3 "clicky" key switches which are easy to buy from amazon or adafruit or microcenter etc.

3 versions (print profiles) to choose from:

  1. AMS version with faces printed on the peas
  2. Non-AMS version where the faces are engraved instead
  3. Non-AMS completely blank peas in case you want to paint on the faces

If your keyswitch isn't moving freely after you attach it to the 3D-printed stem, just reorient the whole switch by 90 degrees.

Great model! Added a ring for a keychain to the model and added the ring mid print! Added names at the back of each pea and printed 3 for a friend's birthday! Thanks for the model! Filaments used -- Bambu Green and eSUN PLA+ Peak Green

What a great idea to add a keychain ring and pause it to add the metal ring! Thank you for sharing your photo. Hope your friend liked the birthday gift! :-)

Printed these guys with 0.08mm. Thanks for great design! The switches fits perfectly. Brim and custom tree support to inner part were added to print the heads part, otherwise they deattach from my PEI plate. Now my wife is clicking constantly, everywhere, everytime, so think twice before you print :)

This looks way better in person. I am not sure what black magic is involved but when I take a picture of it the layers are defined very strongly.

Super cute and addictive. Printed without AMS and with spare red key switches. First picture without the switches.

really cute but for the peas I had to print them in silent to work

Thanks for the feedback! So did the peas turn into spaghetti? And silent mode slowed down your printing and solved the problem? If you can let me know a little bit about what happened, I can look into it and maybe make some model changes. Thx!

yes they did and slowing it down and turning the plat temperature worked

Cool concept. unfortunately key stems are too big for akko switches (or any framed switches)

Hi! Is it getting stuck in the down position when you try to click? If so, can you try rotating your keyswitch 90 degrees and see if that helps? Due to the width being longer in one direction on keyswitches, that this makes a big difference in how it fits with the stem. I have 3 brands of keyswitches and they all work but often I need to be sure to orient the switch in the correct 90 degree orientation. Let me know how this goes for you! Thanks so much for your feedback!

I tried rotating, still jammed. it spreads the stem frames so the rub the sides. I had some old unframed stem switches. it works great now. daughter likes it 👍

I'll definitely look into my stem design. It's hard to get the tolerance "just right" sometimes with such tiny connections like this. Thanks for the extra details!
