Description

I printed the Pastamatic from this link: https://makerworld.com/en/models/16606#profileId-26699

I tried using someone else's model for the motor but the motor controller didn't fit and the gear was too tight when fitting on the motor. So I created a new one from scratch and used that other one as inspiration.

List of parts needed to buy:

Motor (I picked the 200RPM motor. Other speeds can be used)

Greartisan DC 12V 200RPM Gear Motor High Torque Electric Micro Speed Reduction Geared Motor Centric Output Shaft 37mm Diameter Gearbox
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071GTTSV3?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title

Speed controller (This will be for Off, Forward, Reverse and speed)

RioRand 6V 12V 24V 28V 3A 80W DC Motor Speed Controller PWM Speed Adjustable Reversible Switch 1203BB DC Motor Driver Reversing
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071H2YQG5?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title

Power (If you have another source of 12V power, you can use that. Try to keep the Amps to at least 2A)

12V 2A Power Supply Adapter, SNKIZN 120VAC to 12VDC Transformer with 5.5x2.1mm DC Output Jack, 12 Volt 2 Amp Power Supply for LED Module LED Strip Light (1pcs)
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BZHSD2W3?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

DC connecter (A 10 pack was the smallest I could find)

HiLetgo 10pcs DC Power Supply Jack Socket Female Panel Mount Connector 3-Pin 5.5 x 2.1mm
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07XCNSM81?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title

M3 Screws ( At most, 6 M3x8, 2 M3x6)

mxuteuk M3 Screws Assortment Kit,M3x6/8/12/16/20/25/30mm Hex Socket Head Cap Screws Bolts Nuts Assortment Kit 304 Stainless Steel M3 Bolts with Hex Wrench(480pcs)

I recommend putting the whole thing together, making sure the wiring is right. It will not work if you swap the - & + on the controller.

  • You can first slide in the motor and secure with screws from the other side. You can use up to 6 M3x8 screws. I used 3.
  • Unplug the switch from the controller and drop the cables from above and slide the switch in to place. This will be a tight fit.
  • The controller slides into place as shown.
  • Push the DC connector from the inside to the outside and secure with the washer and nut.
  • Place the cover on and pull the speed knob out as much as possible.
  • Secure with washer and nut.
  • Then place the knob on there.
  • You can now also secure the cover with M3 screws on the top right and bottom right. M3x6 is what I used.
  • Place the body of the mount on the pastamatic and secure with pins.
  • Fit the gear on the motor and make sure it is lined up with the other gear it touches.
  • You can fit the Clip in with the pins on the top left. This will make if “safer”, but not really needed. Better to have it I think.

If anything is not clear I will help you.
