Description

Description:
Looking for a sleek, functional, and perfectly tuned Quadlock bike mount for your VanMoof S3? Or maybe you need something that works just as well for flat frames? Look no further! This custom-designed bike mount is here to hold your phone securely while you ride in style.

Key Features:

  • Tailored for VanMoof S3: A version perfectly contoured to the rounded bike frame of the VanMoof S3, ensuring a snug fit that blends seamlessly with the bike's aesthetics.
  • Universal Option Included: Not riding a VanMoof? No problem! A second version is included for flat frames, so no bike gets left behind.
  • Quick and Easy Mounting: Secure the mount to your bike in seconds with just two zip ties—simple, sturdy, and stress-free.
  • Customizable Base: For the tinkerers and modders out there, the .f3d file for the base is included. Remix it to fit your unique needs, but don’t forget to give me a shoutout if you do! Sharing is caring. 💪
  • Improved Grip Option: To ensure an extra-secure hold, you can print a thin layer in TPU to place between the frame and the mount. Alternatively, a piece of resistance band (like a Theraband) cut to size works perfectly—I tested this, and it holds like a charm!
  • Springy Feedback, Simplified Printing: The spring mechanism is designed for optimal feedback and ease of printing, making your mount functional and 3D-printer-friendly.
  • Compact Design: Thoughtfully engineered to be as compact as possible without compromising functionality.
  • High Precision Fit: Tolerances are tight, ensuring your phone stays rock solid in the mount—no wobbles, no worries!
  • Quadlock-Compatible: Works seamlessly with all standard Quadlock phone cases, so you don’t have to change a thing.
  • Durable Material Choices:
    • Mount Body: Printed with PLA-CF or PETG for extra strength and durability.
    • Spring: Printed with regular PLA for flexibility and resilience.
Both materials have been tested extensively with no signs of wear or tear.

Assembly Instructions:

  1. Put the Parts together as shown in the pictures.
  2. Insert the M3 countersunk screw into the designated hole and secure it with the M3 nut.
    1. For the flat frame version, you’ll need an M3x25 screw.
    2. For the round frame version, an M3x19 screw fits perfectly.
    3. Pro tip: If you only have longer M3 screws available, you can simply cut them to size—I did the same, and it works like a charm!
  3. Optionally, add a thin layer of TPU or a piece of resistance band (e.g., Theraband) between the frame and the mount for an ultra-secure grip.
  4. Attach the mount to your bike frame (round or flat) using two zip ties — tighten them securely for a firm hold.
  5. Mount your Quadlock-compatible phone case onto the holder, and you're ready to roll!

Why This Design Stands Out:

  1. Adaptability: Whether you're a VanMoof rider or someone with a generic flat frame bike, this mount has you covered.
  2. Remix-Friendly: The included .f3d file means you can tweak the base to your heart’s content. Personalization is the name of the game!
  3. Feedback-Driven Spring: Feels great, works even better.
  4. Minimalist Size, Maximum Functionality: No bulky mounts here—this is form meets function.
  5. Hassle-Free Installation: Thanks to the zip tie mounting system, you don’t need any specialized tools or skills to get started.
  6. Enhanced Stability Option: The optional TPU or resistance band layer provides extra grip, ensuring your mount stays firmly in place even on bumpy rides.

Printing Tips:

  • Print the mount body with PLA-CF or PETG for enhanced rigidity and the spring with regular PLA for the best results.
  • Use fine layer heights (0.2) to ensure the tight tolerances come out clean.
  • Both versions are optimized for easy printing —let the printer do the work!
  • Use the Full Set Print Profile for the best results.

Let’s Collaborate!

I’d love to see your remixes and adaptations! If you tweak the design, please give me a mention—it’s always exciting to see how others improve and build upon the work.

Ride smart, stay secure, and enjoy this ultra-functional bike mount! 🚴
