Description

***Please use "IMPROVED" print profiles***

Updated version based on my original model. This model has the following improvements:

  • Improved Launcher
  • Larger Ball
  • Separated Hoop
  • Minor Visual Updates to the Base, Backboard, and Pole
  • Added Net (Optional)

Assembly:

  1. Insert the launcher into the base (with the thicker end facing down).
  2. Insert the pole into the backboard until the board reaches the notch.
  3. Assemble the ball by inserting the rectangle connector into each half of the ball.
  4. Assemble the net by attaching each link into 7 sets of 10 links. The top of each chain should attach to the top of the net on one end and the small ring on the other.
    1. These can alternate between colors as shown in the pictures.
    2. The first plate has 41 links and the second plate has 31 links so there should be 1 extra!

** Optional: Color in the indentations on the backboard and base with a sharpie to get more color.**

I'd love any feedback and thank you for your support!

Very fun, I made it to give as a gift to a friend of my young son and I'm thinking of making one for my office, LoL. The only laborious part is linking all the chain sections; I found it easier to make sets of two links and then join them. Although I considered making the board in two colors, I ultimately opted for the simpler and more convenient option of painting it with a fine-tipped permanent marker.

Thank you for this lovely model which prints perfectly Indeed, some assemblies are a little tight (low tolerance) but I prefer to have to use a small file rather than finding after printing that some parts do not hold correctly Many thanks to you and a very happy new year

Printed with Bambu basic white pla on the x1c, the pieces didn't want to insert together.

Basically the "poles" don't fit in the holes. Nothing can be assembled. I just hit the print button from my phone and didn't change anything. so I'm not sure what's up.

Okay, thank you for the feedback! I’ll need to increase the tolerance in the holes.

A lot of things print off and very difficult to assemble, even with improved version

Thanks for the feedback. What parts didn’t print right for you?

for the thing you shoot the ball with the hole and area around it was messed up. The hole to get the backboard on the pole was also to small

the launcher prints wrong without supports but the ball prints wrong with supports so adjust before printing

The print profile shouldn’t need supports. What printer are you using?

With the A1M the hangover on the end of the launcher piece wasn't printing right. Everything else was good so I reprinted it on the next plate with the ball except I added supports and that worked good except I realized it messed up the inside of the ball. I think maybe the rounded side is too steep
