Description

I created a toy that I loved as a child.
I hope there will be more lovers of these toys.
Insert the toothed comb from the side marked with the arrow.

Update 2.1.2025

Several users have had issues with hole tolerances with some filament manufacturers, so I adjusted the print profile, enlarged the hole in the propeller, and added a propeller tip.

prints good but propellor design is flawed and has no lift to fly

Did you push the toothed rack from the correct side marked with the arrow? Otherwise, it is impossible for the propeller not to fly.

yes. it spins and lifts 2” and proceed to fall straight to ground. I was hoping it flies like 4-6’ and then falls down.

Same for me - printed well, but it's a struggle to sometimes get lift at all, unless I really go as fast as possible. In that case it might go up the 2" you mention.

Good afternoon. I can’t get a screw, not a complete one is printed. Maybe someone will tell you what the problem is?

I'm having the exact same problem. Tried both PLA and PETG. Tried different wall settings, temps and speeds. Could it be moisture related?

It's unlikely that we'll use a filament box.

It turned out to print it like that, I called the file to the Blender, printer Creality Ender-3 V3: wall 3, layer heigth 0.08, density 10, but you can try to increase.

Hi, I have printed this part many times and always without problems. Is your board clean and degreased enough? Or is the bed temperature high enough for your filament?

Hi, do you have a sufficiently clean and degreased plate? The contact area of the propeller with the plate is very small and it is necessary to have the plate perfectly clean and the correct bed temperature set for the given filament. If one blade of the propeller peels off from the plate, it can lift up.

washed plate as I had that concern as well- it didn't get knocked off the second time but it did detatch on the same side causing artifacts.

note when I printed it the second time I printed only the flying piece rather than the entire 5 pieces

Hi, try using material from another manufacturer. It also happened to me that when using a cheaper filament, the propeller was brittle and broke easily. But with Bambulab pla basic, for example, it is nice and flexible and does not break.

Hi, this is a great design! I printed it using my A1 Mini, but the propeller gets stuck on the piece that twists it to make it fly. Do you have any recommendations to fix this? Would sanding help?

Hi, isn't it just that the first layer is too wide? If you try to put the propellers in the opposite direction, is it the same?

Outstanding print model! Profile was spot on. The rotor achieves more distance than most models. Used Kinluot PETG.
