Presenting the foldable Bow Tie!
Easy to print, easy to assemble and easy to enjoy! Inspired by my Christmas Gift Bow design.
Personally, I don't own a bow tie - but I still like the idea of wearing one for New Year's especially. And if I'm going to wear a fake bow tie, I atleast want it to look special and fancy. So, here we are!
Assembly is very straight forward, and can be seen in the GIF below.
Simply fold the sides inwards and slide them onto the locking peg. Bend the ribbon around to the back and slide the tab into the slot. The Bow Tie is now assembled!
After assembly, I highly recommend you to slightly bend the two corners marked in the picture below upwards. This enables the Bow Tie to be easily slid onto your shirt button.
And as illustrated in this short GIF, you can easily slide the ribbon onto a shirt button:
To remove the Bow Tie, you simply need to pinch it on the bottom and push it upwards a bit, like so:
If you decide to slice the model on your own, then it is crucial that you change the infill pattern, so it doesn't align with the folds.
If the bow is oriented on the build plate at a 45 degree angle, please use 15% Infill Direction. This way, the lines won't run parallel to the folds.
Enjoy and Happy Printing!
