This is variable vent designed for Sunlu S2 filament dryer.
Until now, I was using a small piece of plastic, left over from a previous printing job, to keep the door a little bit open during the drying process.
With this model I can choose how much air flow is needed by simply opening or closing the vent (by rotating using the knob).
Considerations to print and assemble the vent
The vent is made of 2 parts, an external one which will be attached to the dryer and an internal which is inserted inside the external and rotates, opening and closing the vent holes.
The hole which is centered in the internal part is deliberately of the same size of the protuberance seen in the external part. This will allow you to adjust using sand paper until you get the desired friction level, and thus control the rotation.
Cut holes in the dryer and attach vent
Once everything is ready, you can glue the vent to the dryer. This can be done in 2 parts:
After letting it dry for some hours, it should be ready to be used.
