If you found this model useful, please consider leaving a Boost, thanks!

This is 100% own design of a drip collector cup for coffe machine DeLonghi Eletta Explore.

Are you, like we was, tired of emptying the included tray?
Then you have your solution here!

It's made with three cones inside to minimize splashing to the absolute minimum.

The bottom and the edges are custom made to fit the machine 100% perfect.

The bottom is also custom made to get a nice feeling when placing the cup in place, it feels magnetic when you place the cup. :) My goal has been to do a drip cup that is in the same or near level as the machine in appearance and feeling, like it was a product that was delivered with the machine.

Measurements is approximately:

Width: 93mm (Widest point: 98mm)
Depth: 90mm
Height: 71mm

  • Don't use PLA filament, if you get to much hot water the cup will be deformed.

Use ABS instead and use tree support instead of normal support when printing.

It's an option to have the logotype on, it looks good without also.

I have used 'Loctite All Plastics' superglue to glue the logo with very good result.

I hope you enjoy the cup as much as we do.

  • Update 2024-12-31.

I have printed the model with ABS filament also without any problem. Use tree support instead of normal support,

my print with normal support failed. But with tree support no problem at all. See pictures in comments below.

The problem is that support is not used, I have changed so that is enabled directly in the .3mf file from now. Sorry it went wrong, but I hope you give it another try and that all goes well. If you want, please report back with how it went.

Thank you, as mentioned, I am new to the world of 3D printing. I will try again in the next few days. Then, of course, feedback will follow

Bardzo dobry projekt. Tego potrzebowałem! Dodałem dla wygody uchwyt. Wydrukowane z petg Hf bambu.

i had two attempts at this. first one failed as i didn’t have supports enabled. After seeing the comments pop up after the last week or so i tried again with tree aupports enabled, and it’s near perfect!!

I have now printed the model with ABS filament. The first time it failed because the normal support didn't work, so I switched to tree support and it turned out very well. See pictures below.

Unfortunately, the first print wasn't entirely successful The base is leaky I must have made a mistake somewhere in the printing process

I'm sorry to hear that the base is leaking. My first prototype leaked a few drops overnight. But after I added "Filet's" to the inside of the bottom edges, the problem has never reoccurred. I did a "leak test" for over 24 hours without any problems and we've also been using it every day for many weeks now without any leaks. What printer do you have? Did you use PLA? ABS is more water resistant than PLA, you might want to try switching to see if that helps. I'll start a new print right away and this time with ABS to see how it goes. I'll report back with the results tomorrow. Best regards Henrik

I've had the P1S for a few days. I had read that PETG is better suited, so I will likely try again with PLA plus.

The issue is that the walls are too thin If you accidentally spill a cup of coffee on it, the layers will separate due to the temperature difference It’s not a problem as a simple drip tray for switching on and off Visually a 10/10, application 8/10

Thanks for your comment. Sounds strange, we used PLA filament from the beginning, but I notice after some weeks that the filament became soft when there was too much hot water in it. It never leaked, just became soft and slightly visible deformation. I added information to change from PLA to ABS 12/31. Have you used PLA or ABS as filament?
