Meet the 3D-printed bouncing figure, a playful twist on the iconic Hoptimist design! This cheerful creation uses specially designed 3D-printed springs, replacing traditional round coils with innovative angular or geometric patterns for a striking modern aesthetic. The unique springs allow for smooth, bouncy motion while showcasing the versatility of 3D printing technology.

Whether on your desk or shelf, this little figure brings energy and positivity with every wobble. It’s a fun blend of engineering and design, perfect as a gift or a personal pick-me-up that adds character to any space. Spread smiles and showcase creativity with this delightful bouncing companion!

Really bouncy when pushed down!

Assembly:

  • Legs added to bottom part.
  • Springs added to bottom part.
  • Springs added to the head.
  • Glue might be needed for someone (should only be spring connections)

is it possible for you to make the model, with the Bimble look? Shoorther legs, different eyes and no antenna :)

I have the original Hoptimist standing next to me - the printed one doesn't hop that good, but it's so nice to have many of them around you. Print was easy, no problems - but it's nearly impossible to go smaller than your intended design. I tried 50% size and nearly broke my fingers during assembly. Great work, does what it is supposed to do: hop and bring a smile... (or "make everyday a little more joyful" as the original has written on the box it comes in ;) )
