//edit: The 0.8mm nozzle .3mf containing a single 4x2 brick is a starting template only (creating them all would be mad). Download the entire STL suite by following the down-arrow next to the download button! And thank you for the love :)

All of the models for the “Giant Brick Christmas Tree” in one place. These are the files I (Ellis) made as a project collab with Ruth Amos - you can find our build videos on YouTube. I strongly recommend you watch my video to get a better understanding of this tree, how I designed it and how to print it:
…a monster project involving ~3 weeks of printing across my X1C, P1P and A1 all running in parallel. Nearly 600 parts in the end, and dozens of rolls of PLA. If you think you know how much work this is, you don't. Not yet anyway! :)
Of course, these models could be used for any giant brick project. I'm not the police and Christmas isn't actually forever. I also do not guarantee your prints will fit together. Mine did, with the settings below and a profile similar to the .3mf above, but every printer, filament and taste is different. That said, I hope you'll be mostly satisfied.
Quick info:
This tree is loosely inspired by a certain other tree of similar shape but very different size. Instructions to build it can be found on a certain website that I couldn't possibly link to.
To match the colours of that unknown other tree, you will need Green (lots), Brown, Black, Red, Yellow, Gold, White and Orange filament. You can simplify this in places as you see fit.
This mega-tree differs in multiple ways to that other tree. It is obviously 6x bigger, I modified what would be a straight scale-up to be more suitable for printing, plus I also greatly simplified the centre stem and we did not include the base at all. These pieces are not compatible with, nor do they share any dimensions with, certain other kinds of brick.
I strongly recommend you at least watch the printing chapter of my video. It'll give you an idea of how I did this and my mindset.
NOTE: You will need to design and fabricate your own stand for this tree! For our build we used a 27mm diameter steel tube in the centre which inserted into a custom welded base, that had a baseplate (~100x100mm) about 150mm off the ground. This raises the tree off the ground and makes it stable. You could not use a stand at all, and sit it directly on the ground, but its stability and robustness would be unknown.
On that note, the centre of the tree completely lacks most of the stuff a certain other brick version uses, to save masses of printing. We don't need it in magic giant tree land. You'll figure it out. :)
The candles light up in our version, and the files here feature the details needed to do the same. See the candle part of my video for info.
Finally, THE LIST, should you dare take this on. Happy Holidays! →

Thanks for taking a look! The best way you can support me is with a sub on YouTube. This won't be my last silly project. Cheers :)
