I designed a small adapter plate in order to mount an angel eye ring to the factory dome light of our beloved Toyota IQ!
After printing ensure that no support material is on the surface because the tolerances are very tight. Use a file to smooth the side that had support interface on it. I have successfully installed this mod on many IQ and never had any problems. I strongly recommend the printing material to be ABS in order to handle the heat temperature range of a cars roof. I personally I haven't tried PETG, but I have include a profile for those who will dare.
Tested on my IQ, over 3+ years since installation, no sagging or any other defect.

My approach is for the angel eye to work as seamless as the factory unit. So the angel eye is tapped on the power line of the led and keeps all the functionality of the body control module, lock/unlock lit, fade, always on, always off, etc.
The angel eye is super bright if you just take the power from the the factory dome light, the brightness will shock you. They may be a dangerous event where if someone turns it on during nigh driving, it will blind you no joke. Consider installing a resistor with a value of 20 ohm in the positive cable between the led PCB and the black driver housing. This is in order to protect the BCM from working to hard by limiting the current and stepping down the brightness of the angel eye. That's how i have implemented it in every car that i have install this. You can experiment of course with a lower or higher resistor value in order to suit your needs for brightness.
For reference this the cabin with no resistor installed.
That's all, I hope you find my tutorial useful, if you did i would appreciate a boost!
