Excellent print, which provided high accuracy when drilling for dowels! BTW, the minor gap between the MDF test pieces is due to the mating surfaces not being entirely straight and no fault of the jig.

I gave my first boost! Having tried numerous affordable dowel jigs, I was very pleasantly surprised by the accuracy of this one. To set myself up for success, I used a very sharp quality drill bit without a brad point. I also didn't account for material shrinkage on purpose, so that I could carefully drill the hole out and have an extremely tight fit. Just two spring clamps give enough holding power to avoid the jig slipping. You made dowel joinery on easy mode! My only complaint is the hole distance from the reference edge, which makes it less useful for sheet material. But the design is so simple I guess I can just make my own!
