Description

Now Compatible with the A1!

A storage solution for your A1 that can print on the A1!

No Supports - No Glue - No Screws

This 60mm tall storage stand doesn't add much to your printers height, but adds plenty of functionality. The model has been made to fit within the A1's print volume while avoiding support material and keeping the exterior looking clean with minimal seams.

New in this version:

  • It stacks! - Add more layers to add more storage.
  • Deep Drawer - Thicker by default to make sure you can fit everything you need.
  • Gridfinity inside - The main drawers now have a gridfinity pattern so you can add dedicated tool holders.
  • New removable poop bin - Easy click in/out system.
  • Accessories now click into place and don't fall out.
  • Space for TPU feet to stop it sliding around - or remove the foam rubber feet on the A1 mini and put them in the spaces provided.
  • Plus many more subtle assembly quality of life improvements.

This version is fully compatible with existing accessories if you don't want to reprint everything. Anything from the A1 mini version should still work here.

It is reccomended to place this on a grippy surface to avoid sliding!

Be sure to check out some of the new accessories such as the upgraded poop bin, gridfinity adapters and extra external storage pots in the profiles and the links below.

This is excellent!!! Printing side accessories now. I used Black PLA Basic and Jungle Green PolyLite PLA for the body and Silver PLA Basic for the Gridfinity drawer inserts. I made a longer, easier-to-grip version of the drawer knobs, and I also made some TPU feet for the bottom and in between stacks. I may upload these as print profiles if anyone else is interested. Please make a deeper drawer version and a plate rack layer for the A1 (with AMS top mount)!

Great setup! do you have a link for the puck light & mount visible in the first photo? Also, is the blade replaceable in your scraper?

I had exactly the same issue and commented about it above. See my post above and the comment from @Tez29 who pointed out it is shown in the animation of the smaller A1 Mini version https://makerworld.com/models/796947. I was able to pull apart the front again and insert them as required.

For others who may be wondering - these clips enable you to attach the Gridfinity side adapter(s) and the poop bin to the stackable shelf, as shown in the images. I've designed a variation of the poop bin connector that adds a 2x2 Gridfinity base on the other side as well so I could store my taller tools there. I'll upload this as a profile for others to try.

This is a really good model and at least when printed on an A1 the clearances/tolerances are pretty good and assembly is pretty easy. Just a couple of minor things: * The two blue clips must be left over from an earlier iteration of the design? They aren't used for assembly and there is in fact no where to put them. So you can save some filament by not printing them. * The rear drawers were pretty tight for me, they could probably use another 0.1 mm or so of clearance. Some Super Lube loosened them up though (front drawer was perfect). * Some assembly instructions would have been handy. * It uses a lot of filament for not a lot of storage space. Maybe work on material vs storage space ratio a bit. Although it also has to support the weight of the printer too, so it is understandable to have to use more material.

What are they for though? I didn’t know where they went so didn’t put them anywhere and all seems well.

Wow, what a fantastic quality print. I'm honestly astonished how sturdy this thing is... I STOOD ON IT. Please continue designing my friend, it would be a shame if you didn't. tyftp

wait. it actually supported all your weight??? seriously? that’s one of my concern is it supporting the printer + top mount ams lite with 4 spools.

Yes, it's impressively strong. I did use PetG, but I assume PLA would be fine. This will support the printer without any issue, though I think I will be printing the TPU feet next to make sure it doesn't slide around. I am using the AMS lite mounted on top, with the bambu rear supports as well, so I had to print two different versions, and now have a double stack. I printed the "AMS top mount compatible" along with the "Plate Base With AMS stabilizer support" version. In the photo I took is the original version rear, and I ended up saving front/sides, and tossing the back and printing the correct one that has room for the AMS supports. So, pay close attention to which model you're printing, especially if you have mods. Take a close look at the photos to make sure it will work for you...

yea I saw that same profile with the multiple base plate holder for AMS top mount as well. I am currently printing the back base attachment and planning on printing this top mount next. Is this the same top mount you use? this is the AMS lite Top Mount for A1-V2(STP) by Happy do you have picture of how it sits , any compatibility issues at all?

A fantastic piece :-) Unfortunately, it doesn't quite fit with the MINI AMS mounted on top and its support attached! :-( It would be wonderful if there were a modification of the two rear parts, left and right. There are certainly many other users who will have the same problem and would appreciate a modification of the two rear parts. Furthermore, stacking should be avoided, as this reveals the wide slots of the beams and cable in the lower boxes on the left and right sides, which is unsightly and unnecessary. Otherwise, simply superb and highly recommended :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) Update 22.12.2024 So I have now created the two rear parts for the A1 with mounted supports for the Mini AMS myself! It works perfectly and everything functions without problems. Only the small rear drawers should be omitted, as they are blocked by the support, or the small front drawer should be made slightly lower to allow its use :-) Simply a superb piece, and every A1 owner should have it, as it truly enhances the device! :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

I agree! I'd love an option for one that supports the A1 with the back leg supports when the AMS mini is top mounted. Either way, This is great @Sam67c ! I VERY much appreciate this model!

Do you plan on sharing the model you created for mounted sports? That would be such an awesome addition. 😊

What file is the build plate storage you have under the drawer? It seems like a great addition to the assembly

does the build plate rear shelves work with the extended rear shelves for the original stand or do i need the shorter rear shelves that orginally came with the stand?

I’ve printed five sets for my A1 minis, each three high plus plate storage, Gridfinity inserts and poop buckets, scraper hangar and key tool organizer units. Not only is this a highly functional print that looks fantastic, it’s design is a master class in designing for assembly of items larger than your plate and without any supports.

I think this is the most first complex item that I have successfully completed on either of my 3D printers (a Bambu Lab A1 and a Creality K1), even though I have owned the K1 for 15 months and the A1 for 2 months! It is going to be a very useful add-on for my A1 and help make more way more organised than I am now. However, like all flat-pack furniture assembly I undertake, I have ended up with some extra pieces (2 of the item shown) left over and I don't know where they are meant to be. ;-) 5 stars out of 5 (if I can work out how to add a rating. Now, all I have to do is work out how I can print an appropriately sized version for my K1 and I will be in seventh heaven!
