Description

Designed my own filament spool shelf in honeycomb design. There are 3 versions, for 1" inch wooden dowel, 23mm dowel and 20mm dowel. Used 2pcs M5 wall screws per bracket, spacing between top and bottom screw is 95mm. Its designed just to slid onto mounted screws, witch should have 5mm space between screw head and wall.

Added template for easier drilling holes and adjust right screw distance, also added plane if you want to you use spirit level.

Added endcap for those whom wooden dowel extends from shelf bracket to prevent filament spool tipping over. Also made divider so you can separate different type of filaments from each other on one shelf and not mixing them accidentaly. Here: https://makerworld.com/en/models/117747#profileId-126576

Also added filament material tags so you can separate different type of filaments from each other, here:

Added accessories to utilize honeycomb holes for some holders. link here:

Used Bambu PETG Black and Orange. Printed perfectly. Happy to get my spools organized! Printing another and end caps/dividers next!

Great print, very strong, looks good. I did black PETG with 3/4" wood dowels from Lowes.

Just an FYI - I have taken this picture and made it the wallpaper on my desktop as motivation of the sharp clean style I want for my 3d print room.

Did you print with PLA? Wondering about strength on these with 48" dowels and being fully loaded.

great model and print profile. the mounting template is great for hardware spacing as well as setting the screw depths at the required 5mm for the keyholes in the bracket. Definitely solved my issue of keeping filament on the floor. My 1" dowel were 48" long and for added security i opted to add a 3rd bracket in the center. My wife is pleased to see the reduced clutter. happy spouse happy house. win win in my book 🤣

Clean storage place for 24-26 filament rolls as a beginning. I’m loving it! perhaps a third rack left of the door above the other one in the future!?

I am in heaven. We printed six of these brackets and partner bought the rods… now we have a dream filament storage system. Strong and it looks good too. Thank You.

Printed 7 brackets in black pla-cf and look awesome. Great design. Would be great if you could make a separator or an end cap for this.

You mean some separator between spools attached to dowels?

Replying to @Maoirae :
yes to separate pla from petg or carbon fiber etc. also for the ends if some people have the dowels sticking out passed the bracket to make like an end cap to stop rolls from possible falling off. just some suggestions.

Ten out of Ten! these are perfect. I used 3 spread across 5 feet. One 10 foot PVC pipe cut in half works great!

Awesome design and functionality! Feels sturdy and has a nice and clean look due to the hidden screw heads. Printed great in both PETG and ABS. This brackets were a life saver for my mess! Thanks! P.S: I know many people will be getting crazy about the AC vent near by the spools but don't worry it's closed and sealed haha.
