Description

Apex Fishing Shuttle - This should work with Garmin, Lowrance and Hummingbird fish finders.

Designed to work with Garmin, Lowrance and Hummingbird fish finders.  Designed to be used with 32ah/48ah batteries with a velcro strap. The cover photo is with a 73CV with a Amped Outdoors 32AH battery. *That shuttle has a previous revision Rear Support Plate in the picture. There are 2 accessory mounting holes on the front of the unit for what ever you'd like.

I do not own a Hummingbird or Lowrance head unit/PSI-1. If you find any issues with compatibility please let me know.

I recommend print this is ASA, ABS or PETG.

This is designed to be used with 6-32 FHCS x 0.5"L (McMaster 92210A148) and pull through expanding brass fasteners (McMaster  92395A319) to fasten all body panels together. The sizing of the holes for the #6 hardware locations should be sized to work with melt fasteners.

The handle is attached with 0.75" 10-32 FHCS (McMaster 92210A304) and 10-32 expanding inserts (McMaster 92395A224). The sizing of the holes for the #10 hardware locations should be sized to work with melt fasteners.

The GLS10 Is secured with 4 #8 Bolts. On the top 2 fasteners locations I recommend using a 1" 8-32 SHCS (McMaster 92196A199) with nylock nuts (McMaster 91831A009). The lower 2 bolts use 0.75" 8-32 SHCS with thread expanding inserts ((McMaster 92395A613). I have used this without screws securing the bottom holes of the GLS10. Sizing for pull through and melt fasterners are not size the same. Please down load the correct plate for you hardware choice.

For Lowrance PSI-1 users. You will have to use #8 screws, washers and nuts for securing your sonar box to the rear support plate.

This is not for commercial use. If you make any modifications please share them freely so others can take advantage of this too.

Revision notes:

12/16/24:

-Revised mounting plate to accommodate Hummingbird and Lowrance fishing finders.

-Revised mounting plate to have additional mounting location options.

-Added Rear Support Plate variant to work with melt fasteners.

-Added Rear Support Plate variant to work with Lowrance PSI-1

Printed in PAHT-CF. Turned out great. Just used what I had, easily assembled by drilling out the holes just slightly and using M3 hardware. M5 for the handle. M6 to mount the bracket. Only downside for me is the single attachment point for the handle. I don't have the black box like Garmin so the handle rotates back when I pick it up. Will get me through the weekend anyways. Solid design.

Are the files to be printed as is or are they suppose to be scaled down?

Printed as is. All parts fit on my x1c. I'd recommend chasing all holes with a drill bit to get to size. Just to ensure proper fitment

is there any way you could total the hardware needed so that I could order them while printing?

very nice, the only suggestion I have is to round all corners, I dunno if you can do that in the slicing program or you’d have to do it in the file . or atleast 45 all corners . great design though
