This futuristic spinner fits this great “High Speed Propeller Launcher” model from the designer Lukas Hannert: https://makerworld.com/en/models/628601?from=search#profileId-553231 which is also much fun with the propellers, but now that winter is here/coming, I made a spinning top for my son; this is the second model of this kind I made.

Unlike most of my other models, this one needs supports. There are 3 print profiles on in 0.20 mm layer height, one with 0.16 and one with 0.12. The spinner in the pictures was printed with the 0.2 mm profile, but if you have the time, maybe let it run overnight, then I would suggest you use 0.16 or even 0.12 for an even smoother finish.

I made a 80% scale version (now updated to the correct Print profile files) that will save you print time and material. Also I changed the Seam to random in the 80% version to spread the weight more evenly but it looks better with Scarf seam, not sure what you prefere, let me know.

It is a spinner of good size, but in case you are wondering about the scale of the Swift Apex in the picture where it is shown on top of the Propeller Launcher, the Propeller Launcher in the picture is not the standard size; it is the smaller version of the Propeller Launcher.

Please wash your build plate with dishwashing liquid and touch it only on the edges to minimize the oil on it (alcohol just does not work the same) for the best layer adhesion!
