Description

Yes you can print this with a single AMS - but you’ll have to plan so you can do a filament swap to finish.

If you assign colours #1-4 to slots 1-4 and then assign colours #5-8 to slots 1-4 again you can change colours as the layers finish, but you have to be paying attention.  Or you can also just pull colour #1 out when it finishes and it will force a pause saying filament ran out when it gets back to slot one (on colour 5) allowing you to just swap all four right there and resume printing!

UPDATE : JAN 5, 2025

I've rebuilt the files, for a 4 panel version to make the map even larger.  You can find the 4 panel version here:

The pictured Frame is my SLIM & SQUARE- Friction Fit Frame

If you'd prefer a desktop stand I use this one:

If you resize the model make sure you do NOT scale the Z axis or the print colours will not be in the same position

@xavius Thank you :) This was actually my 3rd version, because I didn't that into consideration on V2 and I went back and re-did it!

Just an amazing print. Didn’t have bronze so I went with BBL desert tan. Kinda gave the mountains some pop. Dark world please!

Love LttP and so this was a must print. Great work on it! Did not have a "bronze" color so I used Bambu's latte brown color instead.

this looks amazing and I can’t wait to print it. I just ordered a bunch of needed colors. can I scale this model up to say 800x800? will that mess with any of the color changes?

It will not mess up any of the colour changes! I've printed it as 400x400 already as well :)

already scaled your 200x200 to 800x800, just waiting for my filament order to come in on Wednesday. But I will take a look at your new 400x400 too.

awesome! i need this! but can you give a more detailed instruction on what layers to change colors on or insert a pause this for when using an ams lite? (not 100% familliar with orca or bambu studio and unsure as to how to do it efficiently) my assumption is to go into the preview pane and go through the colors one by one? and i also assume that once a color is used it isnt needed anymore? --EDIT-- Just read that you already had this in the instructions above, thx! ill try it! now to figure out how to make it 400x400...

Wait, forgive me if this is obvious, but can you do it without an AMS/MMU by changing the filament at the correct layer?

yes you absolutely can! you just need to add pauses so you can do the filament swaps! :)
