Description

There are a few of these “maze puzzle boxes” floating around the internet, and this one is my attempt at designing one. It fits several gift cards at once, as well as a ton of other small gifts! I designed this because I bought a last minute gift card for a buddy of mine, and I wanted to add a little something to the experience. I plan on making a non-Christmas version in the future, and also adding a few different levels of difficulty. This puzzle took most of my co-workers 5-10 min to solve.

 

UPDATE: If you are looking for a harder version of this maze puzzle, try out this model that I've recently uploaded. It takes quite a bit longer to solve.

If I find the time, I will try to upload a more complex maze, I think for people who really like these, this one is too easy. But for the average person, it's the perfect level of difficulty.

Keep an eye out tomorrow, I ended up wanting to designing a more difficult one tonight for fun. Tomorrow I'll test and prepare it to be uploaded.

Fun puzzle - not too complicated. I actually designed and printed some little blocks to glue in the "wrong turn" channels in hopes that my 4 year old will be able to just follow the one correct path to open it. Works well for me! We'll see on Christmas if she can do it or not. My older 2 get the full challenge! Thanks!

Printed beautifully! There is a bit of ghosting on the layers with be letters, but it works perfectly.

I’ve noticed the same, do you know how to mitigate that effect? it’s worse on silk PLA.

My niece will be absolutely thrilled tomorrow :-) Excellent design, but I printed it all on a single plate, one after the other. It worked without any issues.

Awesome print! I printed this in PLA Glow and White. Looks great and draws attention for others to investigate and open it up.... or try too in low/dark light setting. I'm planning on putting a gift card in it and watching my parents keep busy--trying to get it out. :) Used standard/stock filament settings on a X1C with AMS.
