This is a fun little rubber band shooter, I was inspired by a recoil escapement arm used in mechanical clocks, it got me thinking about using something similar as a trigger mechanism and this is the result!

You can easily load 3 bands on the spur and up to 5 if you're patient lol.

****This trigger is completely mechanical and requires no hardware BUT please be aware, the trigger is “double action” in that you pull the trigger but it will not fire until the trigger is released.

There is no hardware required to put this together.

****************Directions********************

  1. Insert bolts into the left side of the handle
  2. Place the “spur” and the “trigger” onto their corresponding bolts in this orientation-

  3. Slide the other side of the handle onto the bolts & set pins
  4. Screw on the bolt caps (DO NOT PUT THESE ON TIGHT)
  5. Load rubber bands and fire! (Load rubber bands from the backmost spur to the front most)

the print file was incomplete, there is nothing to connect the 2 pieces together UPDATE: So I fixed the problem i had, it wasn't about the print file but instead the low quality filament i was using clogged up my nozzle (this happened to me countless times with the same filament) So I finally fixed it, when putting it together i broke one screw reprinted it, after it was assembled i couldn't get it to work...

I appears that your print didnt finish. The half pictured on the upper side should have pins and it also looks like the bolts didnt finish either. I would check that your filament didnt run out or jam and try again. Unfortunately this doesnt look like something I can help with in regards to the print profile or the model.

Pure perfection The pistol is printed so that the outsides (left and right) are both printed on the print bed to achieve a symmetrical texture The instructions are perfect for assembly but please DO NOT insert the screws as shown in my image instead pay close attention to the instructions
