Description

My second Bonsai is here. After the overwhelming support the first one got, I decided to make a new one with a nice twisted trunk.

The foliage blobs are numbered in the project but the basic rule is that they are organized on the plate by their height on the tree.

Also the holes are much better visible now.

It fits the Sci-Fi container if you dismiss the pot and print the special ground plate only. It's in the STL section of downloads.

If not using the BambuLab project file (3mf):

foliage: zero perimeters, zero top and bottom layers, auto tree supports build plate only, top Z distance to 0.3, gyroid infill 25%

tree: prints nicely without supports
pot and ground plate: no supports needed

My original one was lonely, so I'm glad it has a friend now! Over all, an improvement. I love the design and the contrast option for the pot. The leaves are much improved, easy to print and the supports popped right off this time. I love these, they're such a nice and easy project to add some green to a room. Thanks!

bit tacky for my taste but I think my grandma will love it. printed nicely just added adaptive layer height for the tree so it's a bit smoother.

Awesome design! Here's a picture of my bonsai tree print. I used wood filament for the Tree Trunk and Ground Plate for a more organic look. For the foliage I used Pink silk, reminiscent of cherry blossoms. Also I printed the foliage in "fuzzy" mode, instead of exposed infill. I felt it gave the foliage a fluffier look. *Details:* - Tree Trunk: sandal wood (20% wood) - Ground Plate: pear wood (20% wood) - Foliage: Pink Silk. Fuzzy skin thickness: 1mm - Square Pot: - Translucent Teal PETG - Stripes: Black PETG Thanks again, Grafit! -Jake-

Turned out great. I messed up the base but it kind of gives it some character. X1C using PLA-CF for the base and trunk. PLA for the base and foliage.
