This is my take on vertical laptop stand (tested with my Lenovo Legion 5 as seen on photo). Available versions ragne from 16mm to 34mm in width. Feel free to comment if you need another size.

I suggest lining the innermost faces with felt, so choose 2-4mm wider than laptop.

The base should be flexible, allowing two prongs to squeeze the laptop tight.

You can also add rubber feet underneath the ‘legs’ for better grip on your desk.
