Description

This printable model is designed for descaling water faucets by attaching it securely using a cable tie. A TPU sealing ensures a watertight fit when filled with water and descaling solution. It’s a practical, DIY solution for maintaining clean faucets.

Recommended Print Settings for Watertightness

To ensure the model is watertight and durable, consider the following adjustments:

1. Print Quality Enhancements:

  • Flow Rate: Increase flow to avoid line gaps
  • Printing Temperature: Raise for better layer adhesion (avoid overheating to prevent bubbles)
  • Seam Visibility: Minimize or randomize seams for less leakage

2. Mechanical Strength:

  • Layer Adhesion: Reduce cooling for stronger bonding
  • Wall Thickness: Use extra walls or high infill
  • Volumetric Speed: Lower the maximum speed to avoid under-extrusion
  • Top Layers: Add more for better sealing

Note: These settings may reduce visual appeal but significantly improve functionality.

Required Additional Parts

  • 6x M5 Screws (minimum 25 mm length)
  • M5 Nuts and Washers (use washers with seals if possible, or print TPU washers for custom sealing)
