Description

Reusable Latching Gift Card Box (Christmas Theme0

Hello, I designed this reusable gift card box after buying some gift cards and being asked if I wanted to purchase a cardboard one. Obviously I did not want to spend a $1 on a piece of future trash (I really am an environmental hero lol). Twist the top get your reward!!!

Printed in various filaments from various manufacturers but most Bambu Basic PLA.

There 19 Build Plates…yup 19. 2 of them are the two types of boxes. The last plate is just a preview of the tops showing face up, do not print The rest are the various Christmas themed top designs.

Plate 1 - single color box with it's parts

Plate 2 - 2 color print box with ribbons and it's parts
Plates 3-18 are the various top designs.

Plate 19 - A preview of all the top showing face up (do not print this plate it is for reference)

The tops should be printed facedown. The two springs are different by sure that the raised section fits into the top plate. Add a drop of glue in the lower recessed part of the lid for the back of the springs (make sure this is very secure, care not to glue the spring arm down). Add a drop of in the top of the latch to hold the decorative knob in place. Please refer to the photo's for glue instructions

I have some more top designs I will release in a few days. Mario etc…

Hope you like my models, if you do please leave a rating and check my profile here: https://makerworld.com/en/@phillipjfry

Maybe buy me a coffee, I go through lots of it, thanks.

Have a great day and happy printing!!!

I did a remix of the top housing so you can print the springs as part of the housing eliminating the need to glue them in. Let the part cool off and just crack the spring free. Works great. This is a great design. Thanks for sharing it.

I did one of these, it turned out great. I wanted something that was a little bit different for my son. So I remixed your Pickle Rick and used that on top. I did not have an issue with the white ribbon. Now I need to do a Zelda one for my daughter. When I get a chance I will upload the re-mix. I would put in the instructions to put a drop of CA glue to hold the springs in and the top graphic in.
