Description

You don't need AMS to print this model. Simply start with black or any colour you like and pause it at layer # 8 and switch to white.

Nice ornament. Printed scaled down (don't adjust Z axis! Detail goes away fast! Lost some detail with X/Y scaled down). Still very nice model. Printed automatically with X1+AMS. Very nice results.

I design these with a shortest edge of 100mm, as this size works well with a 0.4mm nozzle and a 0.08mm layer height. Ideally, they should be printed at this scale for best quality. You could scale them down without losing resolution by using a 0.2mm nozzle and a thinner line width. However, despite the smaller print size, the process might actually take longer. I don’t have a 0.2mm nozzle, but it would be interesting to try. I use slicer to create each STL file—it’s very much a process of trial

That's not how it's done, Huforge. I start by sketching the design on paper with a pencil. Then, I adjust the contrast and blacks in Photoshop using levels and manual healing. Next, I import the image into Creality Print Slicer to create SLT, define layer thickness and other parameters, and export the STL file to Rhino to cut shape add frame and hook etc. That’s the process I follow.
