Keychain Tag – Self-Designed, Inspired by Saskot
This keychain tag is designed for use by firefighters wearing breathing apparatus. These tags often serve to ensure the identification and status of a firefighter when entering a hazardous environment such as a burning building. They can contain crucial information such as the wearer's name or an identification number. In some cases, such tags also help to keep track of how many people are involved in the operation and who is wearing what equipment.
The exact dimensions can be found in an image of the model. The text on the keychain is editable.
Here are brief instructions on how to customize the text:
1. Open the model in Bambu Studio or Orca Slicer.
2. Go to “Objects” and right-click on the text, then select “Edit Text”. Here you can change the text, font, font size, and positioning on the object as desired.
3. If you are using an AMS (Automatic Material System), remember to print the text in a different color. This ensures a clear contrast and a better visual appeal.
4. Simply copy and paste to create additional names.
Note for printing with AMS:
The print profile for the text is slowed down, and the “Smoothing” option is enabled on both print plates.
Alternative without AMS:
If you are printing without AMS, you can print the text in a different color on the second print plate from a height of 2.2 mm. To do this, right-click in the preview tab on the far right next to the height scale and adjust the print settings accordingly.
Addendum: Below, I have added some images to help you understand the process in Bambu Studio and visually follow the text editing.
Detailed instructions for Bambu Studio (short instructions above):
In the Objects process, right-click on the text and select Edit Text.
Speeds should be slightly reduced to ensure a beautiful typeface.
Text tip: Bold Arial, size 7-8, thickness 0.6 mm
Alternatively, delete the text and add new text using the “T” for Text at the top.
Remember to change the text color to a different color.
This is how it should look; it can still be positioned at the yellow dot. :-)
Second variant without AMS, changing color from a certain height: Only works in the Preview tab, right-click on the height scale on the right, either add a stop to manually change the filament or directly select a color if AMS is available.
Have fun.
This keychain tag model was designed and drawn by myself, based on a template by Saskot. Since I had difficulty adapting the template with my name and text, I decided to redraw/revise the design completely. However, the dimensions of the new design are very similar to the template, which is why I want to mention Saskot by name.

I find this model important for firefighters; it's about the safety of the people who risk their lives daily to help others. If you also find it practical, leave a boost here :-)
