Description

Here’s a train to bring some Christmas spirit to your home!

The train is designed to be glued together to avoid filament waste and reduce tons of printing time. It has functional wheels. I’m planning to make more trains—and maybe even some carriages down the line. Hope you enjoy it!

Heads-up: the inside of the train compartment has a rough finish where the overhangs are, but I went with this design to avoid any visible seams on the body. After weighing a few options, I felt this was the best way to go.

Colors I used:

Bambu Basic PLA Gold

Bambu PLA Matte Black
Feel free to tweak the colors to match your holiday decor!

Nice model!! Thank you for sharing with us! I went with green for the main body to give those full Christmas vibes! My only suggestion for improvement is the thin gold pieces... make the recesses in the green main body deeper and then make the gold pieces a bit taller so they can sit and snap in better. With these being so thin trying to align these and use some glue was very challenging without having residue. (I also realize I forgot to print the gold rings that go around the green main body)

Wow, your color choices look awesome! I definitely need to get some green filament myself. And yeah, I should work on improving the snap-ons for the ornaments—I struggled with that too. Thanks for the feedback!

Very nice model! I designed and printed a driver's cab. A bit filigree to put together but a nice end result.

I only had a bit of a problem gluing some of the decorations. they were difficult to keep in place. but other than that my kid loved it

Really beautiful print! Printed perfectly with no support scars! If there was anything I would change it would be to make more of the pieces snap on and to make the back open.
