Update:
I’ve designed a second slide that lets the poop slide all the way out! This new addition is super lightweight at just 25g and prints in under 50 minutes. I’ve already aligned the part for optimal printing, so it requires no supports and works perfectly with the default settings.

This 3mf file includes three plates for flexible printing options:

  • Plate 1: 165g poop chute (4h45m with auto bed leveling).
  • Plate 2: 25g second slide (50m with auto bed leveling).
  • Plate 3: Both parts combined (5h20m with auto bed leveling)

You can choose the setup that works best for you. Installation is quick and easy—the slide fits seamlessly for enhanced functionality!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I designed this Filament Poop Chute for my P1S, but it’s fully compatible with the X1C, P1P, X1, and X1E printers as well. This is a great first print because it doesn’t use all the 200g of filament included with the printer. With the remaining filament, you can also print a lateral bracket for the filament roll, which I consider one of the other first essential upgrades for the printer.

I combined the best features from existing designs to create a practical and efficient iteration. Additionally, it features a large container that can store a lot of filament poop, reducing the need for frequent emptying.

You’ll notice a mix of half green PLA and half white PLA. That’s because I used the included filament roll for some other small first prints before making this chute. It’s a bit of a "creative" color combo, but it adds character, right?

Key Features:

  • Material Efficiency: Uses only 165g of filament (vs. 250g–330g in other designs).
  • No Support Required: Clean print without supports.
  • Large Capacity: Designed to hold a significant amount of filament poop.
  • Self-Standing or Magnetic: Can stand alone or fit six 4x4mm round neodymium magnets.
  • Quick Print Time: Prints in under 4 hours and 45 minutes (default Bambu Slicer settings and bed leveling).
  • Starter-Friendly: Perfect as a first practical test print and part of an essential printer setup.

This design is functional, efficient, and beginner-friendly. I hope it helps others as much as it’s helped me—enjoy my quirky PLA mix in the photo!

This is one of the first models I printed and it is a really useful print for new users of the Bambu Lab X1 or P1 series. It also makes efficient use of material and that is really appreciated. As I said in my previous review this is a good model and that's why I'm boosting this model. Keep the good work!

It came out really well. But it used 178 grams instead of the advertised 165 grams. I printed in the P1S and used PLA Matte Carbon from Bambu Lab. The bottom had some ghosting but maybe the bed wasn't clean. It feels rough around the corner in the bottom but it is also a sharp angle. The bottom is specially thick, maybe it could use even less material. I have no complains.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience and feedback! I'm glad it printed well for you. Regarding the filament usage, I measured the final print on a scale, and it weighed 164.32 grams as shown in the cover photo. It’s possible that slicer estimates or material density caused slight variations, but I’ll revisit the design to see if I can optimize it further. For the ghosting and rough corners, cleaning the bed can definitely help, and I’ll consider softening those sharp angles for smoother results. Your input is super helpful—thank you again for taking the time to share your thoughts!
