Description

Big Bricks *The Nutcracker*

This beauty is ready to print with no AMS needed!!!

The 3MF is optimized for minimal supports.

He stands approximaly 11 inches tall with that big ol'e hat!

This Nutcracker was a labor of love. Tolerances are a little more fine-tuned and you will notice there are tabs with the inserts to ensure a nice snug fit.

Shoulder pad is split in half to minimize supports and will need to be glued together.

The head and hair should be aligned, and the head should just slide back into the hair.

There is a little flex, so don't worry, it shouldn't snap. I've tested multiple times thru out the day to make sure.

Between the Hat and hair there are tabs that secure them together.

Legs simply slide together and hold well, but you can use glue for a permanent secure bond.

Sword is put together and insert is pushed thru to hold it together, no glue needed.

I hope you enjoy this as much as I did!

Happy printing!!!!

**UPDATE**

It was brought to my attention on the original 3MF that the golden shoulder pads top and bottom pieces had 2 different scale sizes. Not sure how that happened, but I have fixed this now. The 3MF has been updated! Sorry about that!

Beautiful model, printed without problems ! I had a lot of sanding to do on the face pieces to make them fit, maybe add a multicolor profile for those who would prefere a little more time of printing. The head doesn't hold, and I have 2 very little black pieces left and I have no idea where they're supposed to be 😅 I'm happy to see how it turned out however, as except the face everything fits easily.

I noticed last night when someone else commented about the 2 left over black pieces that I had accidentally imported the old pegs for the hat to hair. Thanks for reminding me! I'll take those out of the 3mf!

Had to slow the print speed down and add brim to several of the smaller pieces but overall great print and great addition to my nutcracker collection!

Thank you for taking the time to rate and post a picture! Yeah, I sometimes forgot the need for brims when creating the 3mf. I've gotten used to my cryoplates lol

I printed it at 200% magnification, and it was perfect, but I'm unsure how to scale the long, rectangular piece in the middle of the knife; several attempts have failed. I also don't know where to attach the two small, black rectangles

The 2 black rectangles were extra inserts but a little smaller to keep the hat connected to the hair. I didn't think about how that sword insert would scale. Normally I would scale it to the same upscale for everything else.

All right, thank you. I printed an assembled set of parts for a sword, scaled up according to your proportions, unfortunately it’s completely wrong. I’ll investigate further. Thank you

Making a 2nd one with a blue coat because we don't like the red-coats. lol Great print! The spaces where the gold went on the boots and chest had some drooping problems abd needed to be trimmed with a knife. The leg attachment to the hips needed some trimming as well. the head is too loose. The sword fits together beautifully. Over all it's a great print. Thanks for your hard work putting these out! It's really appreciated!
