I have scaled down the mask to fit the A1 mini's build plate, retaining the other settings

you dont have to scale it down. I have an A1 mini as well, all you have to do is rotate it and it will fit, yes with the supports

What print orientation did you use? The default orientation, chin pointing up, has very little bed contact and requires a some support. The pictures look like it was oriented with the point of the chin on the plate, as if it was being worn. Also little contact and needs support. What slicer and style of supports did you use? I'm looking at it in Prusa Slicer oriented with the chin point on the bed plate, as if it was being worn. Snug doesn't seem to support the vent and eyeholes well. Organic does, but organic is usually less stable than snug, so I'm hesitant to use it.
