Description

This is the Car Windshield Ice Scraper with an ergonomic hand grip and a secret compartment to hide small valuables in your car. It has a sharp edge on one side to scrape the windshield clean, and spikes on the other side to break the surface of thicker ice.

Winter is coming, and so is Christmas, so I designed this as a unique gift for my work buddy who likes to keep his greens safe and hidden 😄. He also owns a car in a place where temperatures drop below freezing… the idea was born!

The secret compartment can be used to hide any kind of small valuables in your car, like cash, a spare house key, etc. The scraper works phenomenally. It has a sharp edge to scrape the ice off, plus spikes on the other side to break the surface of the ice. Because it is printed in PLA, which is stiff, it makes it work like a charm, and it is super sharp as you can see here:

I printed this in Bambu Lab basic PLA with two walls and a cubic infill pattern, and it's as hard as a rock. If it's going to stay in the car year-round (including summer), it's probably best to print it in PETG.

There are two versions of the cap:

-one you can unscrew with your bare hands

-other requires a coin (a USA quarter or a Euro) to unscrew. The second version ensures not everyone can open it easily.

No special printing setup is needed. It's designed with no overhangs, so it can be printed without supports. The caps should be printed with the "bolt" head on the bed and the threads upright. The main body, of course, with the compartment hole up.

Enjoy! If you like it, give it a like!

This came out excellent printed in PETG. No issues with the model and both caps fit flawlessly.

Thank you, worked great. I printed mine in PLA-CF.

Omg it looks amazing in CF! I wonder if it is as sharp in carbon fiber as in regular PLA, because regular pla has a bit shaper edges i think. But it looks perfect! 👌😊 I’m glad you like it!
