i found the model on thingiverse, made it printable, scaled it up and printed it for a friend of mine. Sharing the print profile so you can print your own!
Very awesome looking print, but really bummed that it won't stand up on its own. So it's not a good display, now I need to figure out how to get it to stay up sitting on my desk
i can try my best and model some sort of a stand for it if you want. a friend of mine put it on top of a light bulb and is happy with it because he uses it as a lamp
The listing said 10.5 hrs but it was 37 hours to print and I'm not sure why. It might be due to the supports we chose? This was my son's first time printing without my assistance so I'm not sure. Either way, it printed nicely but the supports were really difficult to remove and left a lot of rough edges. We used PLA basic in black and it looks really nice.
you might want to check your printer settings. the bambu studio slicer tells you every parameter which has been changed, your son might have messed around with the print speed, layer walls, infill, PLA specific settings or something else. i would suggest to reset the settings and then import the profile by clicking on "open in bambu studio". this way the profile gets loaded into your slicer :)
