Description

Update 04.12.2024

In print profile v1.1 I fixed a bug. There was no holes for hyperbole.

Unusual hyperbola clock.

I saw it on youtube and decided to make similar one :)

This design was a bit tough for me, but I finally managed to set it correctly :)

This clock is designed to work with clock component kit - MH011

The hour plate must be on precise height so you use only one screw without rubber washer

Have fun.

Why there is no open holes on the clock surface, how to stand the white part?

Sevro, Please question: The small pointer on the base gives the minutes. What's the reason the digitis on the base are 1 to 12 (hours) instead of 1-60 (of every 5 minutes)?

It's clear that here the base-numbers also have relation to the base of the stick (hours indeed).

I wanted the base of the stick to also show the time. On the hyperbola, some of the hours are close together and I thought that sometimes it might be illegible what time it is, e.g. between 11 and 12. But I think your idea is more intuitive, so I'll probably change it.

first of all, this looks great, however an Hyperbol E is a figure of speech that means "exaggerated statements or claims not meant to be taken literally." (oxford english dictionary), the word that I assume you meant to use is hyperbol A, a word which means "a symmetrical open curve formed by the intersection of a circular cone with a plane at a smaller angle with its axis than the side of the cone." (oxford english dictionary)

I REALLY want to make this... but I have no AMS yet. Could you raise the digits a bit so I and others that don't have an AMS can print it? cheers.

Hello MoleculeCreator/chemist..., You can in the slicer point to any of the objects (digits and belonging digit holes). If necessary split the object temporarily in sub-objects. The same happens when you selected these in the menu on the left. Give it/them a color for better visibility. Color is independent of the printing color later on. Choose for "Scale" in the menu above and (generally) make the Z axis (blue) higher with the handles. And there you have it. Much lessons about these things in "Ashley's printshop". Merge=Assemble all what you have split before.

Terrible, it doesn't work, it's one of the things I hate most, besides I had to throw away a whole clock because it wouldn't come out

Oh no! Can you post pictures and a video of what happened? And why couldn't the clock mechanism be removed? The more information and data you provide, the higher the chance of a useful response :-) The community is here for you!

I don't have a photo, but I can tell you what happened The clock wouldn't come out after I inserted it The rod for the hyperbola wouldn't fit because of the bottom part, and I also made it smaller so it would fit within the walls
