Description

Inspired by this project, we developed this tool kit for kids, to unleash their imagination and create anything starting from cardoboard! 📦 The kit (check our youtube promo video) includes various accessories for cutting, sewing, joining and folding cardboard! Warning: the squirrel 🐿️ in the video isn't included.

How To Play 👐

Check our Youtube promotional & how to play video!

How To Assemble 🛠️

Check our full How To Assemble Youtube Guide!

Kit contents 📦

The kits include:

  • A saw, only cut the cardboard, not the fingers!
  • A cutter, to make folding easier
  • Two screwdrivers (one large and one small)
  • An accessory to pierce the cardboard and facilitate the entry of the screws
  • 2 sizes of screws (normal and long), print so many!
  • A screw accessory for passing elastic bands and threads
  • A screw accessory in the shape of an "8"
  • A screw accessory for hanging

Satefy for Children 🧑🧑🧒🧒

We have paid great attention to ease of printing (no supports, no AMS required) and, above all, safety for children. The saw and cutter are safe and pose no risk of cutting a child’s skin, and the accessory for piercing cardboard to ease the screw’s entry is less pointed than a regular pencil. However, we always recommend supervising children while they play, especially younger ones.

Non-3D Printed Parts 🔩

To make the mechanism more solid and safe, standard parts that can be easily found in any hardware store are necessary:

  • M2.5 Stainless Steel Hex Nut, x 3
  • M2.5x8 SHCS Machine Screw, x 3

Commercial License 🪛🔩

Hi Mmusket, I just printed those 2 pieces and they work fine, but I understand what happened to you: the 2 pieces have a direction and you tried to insert them in the wrong direction. I will specify this in the instructions. Thanks for your report!

Love this set. Thanks for sharing! I have one remark about the screws. The heads break off really easily, and I think this could be easily fixed in the design. If you look at the image of the sliced model, you can see a gap between the thread and the shank. If this gap were closed, I believe the screw would be stronger.

hi, thank you for your feedback, we are going to fix the issue and upload the new version :)

Looks nicely done but I think you should support makedo (https://www.make.do/) as they designed the system in the first place.

What does this even mean? If you want to support them, you can buy from that company. Personally, I'll happily print stuff at home for my kid to play with instead of paying $50 + shipping to get small pieces of plastic mailed to me.

hi, the Makedo project is linked at the beginning of the description (Inspired by...), I think it's a good way to give credits / to support them!

Then you should probably use a less restrictive license, considering this is almost a one-to-one copy. I have no issues printing replacements for commercial products, but it ought to be free use, then.

my nieces are having a good time with this but they would like a 90°corner connector and the other asked if there were any nuts to help keep the bolts in

Are the piercing tools and the hex tools meant to be glued into the handles or just press fit in?

Hi, no glue required, the interlocking is very "fit". However, if you want to use some glue, it is not a bad choice.

Hmm. My parts are all pretty loose using Creality PETG. I may need to glue mine otherwise they stay stuck in the cardboard. I may need to calibrate for this filament or something. I love the print! Thanks for the reply.
