Description

Customizable Depth Stop guide for the Festool Domino DF500 mortiser. I've included some sample STLs and a print profile - using some combinations that I liked (mostly I wanted a 15 and 18mm as that's what I use the most for plywood) - but the Autodesk Fusion file is included for you to make it using the combinations you want - just do a change parameters and update the values for step1_height through step6_height (the full height is always 40mm) and update the labels in the labels and side_label sketches and you should be good to export.

If you want to do colour labeled for the depths I recommend using a 0.2mm nozzle. Export the full component as an STL from Fusion, once you've imported the STL into your slicer you can then split into parts and colourize the numbers.

You can also export just the main body of the component for embossed text; this is still more readable if printed with a 0.2mm nozzle - although usable with a 0.4mm one.

The pre-built STLs and print profile come in three variations:

  • Metric v1 - 15, 18, 20, 25, 30, 35 (and 40) mm
  • Metric v2 - 16, 19, 22, 25, 28, 31 (and 40) mm
  • For our American friends - 1/8 inch increments from 5/8ths to 10/8ths (plus the unlabeled 40mm)

Thanks SO much for including the Fusion file. I was able to make my own with custom spacing and some dimension changes to support printing in resin. I touched up the groove with a file and it slides like the original.

Hello, Thank you for the wonderful design and the Fusion 360 file. I have a suggestion. I deepened the lettering in Fusion 360 by 0.4mm. This reduces the number of color changes required during printing to only two. Perhaps this will inspire others.
