Yes, it's yet another annoying gift card box! I designed this from scratch in Blender and added a few features I felt were missing from other designs.
This gift card lock box features two layers of annoyance before its recipient can retrieve the cash or card inside. The first is a split lockring which surrounds the edges of the inner cage. The lockring can be held together with PETG printed spiral rings, as show, or it can be more securely held with zip ties, if you're feeling diabolical. The second is the snap-together inner cage, which features a high-tolerance span fit which takes some focus and effort to split apart. Again, the diabolical gifters may choose to add some superglue when assembling.
The top panel of the inner cage features a hex mesh, allowing the recipient to see the contents inside. I feel this adds to the allure of an annoying gift box by proving that there is, in fact, something worthwhile inside.
The bottom panel can be decorated with your favorite SVG to add a message or holiday-themed artwork.
A note on the spiral clips - these print best in PETG with Arachne wall generation. I've printed successfully with both .4 and .6mm nozzles. These can be pulled off relatively easily by pinching the exposed end and pulling away from the lockring.
