Description

I think its no secret the A1 might have the most frustrating bed plate to have to reinstall and get to align properly. I've created this clip on bracket that affixes to the back right corner of the bed in order to try and at least help make the processes a little smoother to get that alignment dialed in the first time. I think a smooth cover over the magnets like like all the other printers have would have helped, but for whatever reason Bambu Labs didnt do it for the A1 so I at least hope this model will help you get closer to achieving that alignment.

I've had trouble with other designs staying put so there are 4 small points of contact to help hold it in place and more importantly KEEP it in place. I plan to update this model with 2nd optional bracket in the top left corner to further help align the plate in the future.

Installation:

Remove thin supports. Slide the back left posts on to the “Leave Room For Heatbed Movement” warning tab and rotate up to snap the bracket in place.

Print in PETG, or better, given the bed gets hot. Model is compatible with the current firmware Nozzle Clumping Detection.

No issues at all. Printed great! I printed one with tree supports and one with normal. On both the supports just popped off easily. The only thing I can think might be tripping people up is that you need to fit the lip that sticks out to the left over the piece on the A1 bed and then rotate up. Snapped right in though.

Replying to @OcularDynamic :
I just printed them again in ASA and they printed fine as well (I didn't have any good colored PETG laying around). The ASA was a little tighter, which is to be expected with shrinkage, but it wound up fitting.

Def a tight fit and took me a bit to figure out how to get it on. Now that it's on it works great

Its not you, it is a little hard to snap in becuz of the tight fitment. Theres not much for it to grip and when making it if I had it looser it was much easier to knock off with the build plate

This is very useful and makes life so much easier! I printed it using transparent PETG, which blends perfectly with the A1, and it works great too.

I printed the part out of GIANTARM silver PETG and the supports came off easy enough. It took a little doing to get the piece on as it seemed stuck for a bit but the went on when I was about to give up. I have had a 50/50 experience with this guiding the build plates in place. It could be me and if so, I will come up and up the rating to 5 stars. *UPDATE* - since I got used to this addition I found it does make putting on a new plate much easier so bumping it up to 5 stars. Thank you!!!

That back middle magnet on the u build plate is a pesky bugger that makes almost any solution less effective, that's why I labeled is a help as opposed to a solution
