Description

One of our favorite characters from Arcane is Ekko, since season 1! We've been planning to put out some cosplay props from League of Legends and Arcane for a while, and since Season 2 just came out, I think it's the perfect time to do so :)
Let me know what else would you like us to make next!

Check out our Serev3d Patreon for dozens of stl and 3mf models: https://www.patreon.com/SEREV3d

On our patreon we provide Ekko's bat/sword and also a multi part version of the mask, so you can use two different filaments to print it!
--->Ekko's bat/sword and multipart mask<----

Recommended filaments:

-Bambu PLA Matte

Printed on:
-Bambu P1S

3d Print Settings:

We recommend to keep the orientation of the object the way it's being imported, the position minimizes the amounts of supports needed and keeps the layer lines not too visible.

Layer Height: 0.2mm

Infill: 7% (if you want it stronger-heavier, you can set it to 10%)

Infill pattern: Gyroid

Wall loops: 3

Supports: Automatic Tree(organic) Supports, Threshold angle 28° TopZ Distance: 0.28, BottomZ Distance: 0.2 (like this the supports can be removed easily, if your print might move or fail at the beginning, adjust the amount to something lower like 0.15, it might be harder to remove the supports afterwards, but it will hold better while printing)

--------------------------

POST PROCESS recommendations:

To achieve a nice metallic finish on the the mask and sword, follow these steps:

0. Use Gorilla Super Glue Liquid , also it's recommended to do some pla welding to fuse the joined parts together, so they will hold strong

1. Sanding & Smoothing: Start by sanding the print to smooth out layer lines, working your way up to finer grits.: 3m Pro Grade Grit: 120, 3m Pro Grade Grit:220, 3M Wet or dry Sandpaper Grit: 600

2. Priming: Apply Rust-Oleum Painter's Touch Spray Paint White suitable for plastic to create an even base.

3. Metallic Paint: Use metallic spray paints or airbrush paints, such as chrome, gold or silver.: Rust-Oleum Aged Metallic Weathered Steel, and Pébéo - Acrylic Fine Studio Acrylics - Silver
You can also use Rub 'n Buff Wax Metallic Finish for a textured look.

4. Weathering & Shading: Add depth with washes or dry brushing darker tones into the creases to create a realistic worn look.

5. Sealing: Finish with a clear coat to protect the paint.

This print came out beautifully. I printed the two piece mask so I can finish it and paint it without so much masking. My kid is going to flip 😂

Awesome, I do agree your print looks super clean, thanks for sharing your result! And yes, the 2 piece version definitely makes it easier to paint the golden/bronze part, I'm looking forward to see your end result too, and to know if your kid actually flipped or not haha We really tried to put a lot of effort in this design, I made the more "technical parts", base modeling and to make the two parts fit together well, and my wife spent some time to do all the surface detail sculpting, which added so much to the overall style:) I think we managed to bring one of the most detailed and accurate Ekko mask out here to the real world:)

Thank you so much, I'm very happy to hear that! I tried to really sculpt a natural worn look to this design, so when it's printed, to look less "plastic" haha. I'm looking forward to see your painted result, I'm sure it's going to look amazing!:)

Oh that's awesome, I hope she will love the mask!:) I'm happy to see that some of the "worn out" surface texture details stayed pretty well even with a thicker layer height and nozzle. If you ever decide to paint it, I'm curious to see your work, i'm sure it will look really cool:)

Amazing how well this printed. The print profile leaves no seams, no layer lines and no artifacts from the infill. 10 hours and boom, you have a highly textured, near perfect looking replica. 10/10 would recommend.

Hi @waudsteve, do you mean this GIF in our gallery? It's written in the description on the model and also on the image, that for people who wish to get the multi-part version of the mask and Ekko's bat/sword, it's available on our patreon. The rest of the pics are all showcasing the one piece version of the Ekko's mask which we provide for free here. On Makerworld we publish a few of our models for free, to showcase the quality and the ease of use of our designs, and on top of that we offer much much more designs on our Patreon page for people who wish to print all our designs. Both me and my wife are working very hard and spending countless of hours every day to deliver interesting and useful designs for our members, we wish we could provide even more stuff for free...but that sadly does not bring food on the table, and unfortunately we can't eat PLA filament for dinner...haha But I do hope people enjoy all the free designs we publish here on Makerworld, we will always put 1-2 stuff out for free every once in a while!:)
