Description

This model is a re-creation of the classic Shield Liger toy from the Zoids anime. This is not a one to one duplicate of the original 1983 model kit, I have adapted the original concept to be suitable for 3D printing on FDM printers. No AMS needed, all pieces are split and some require glue.
The print profile included has the model at the ideal size, but I have test printed it up to 65% scale, and at that size there begins to be an issue with wall thickness and joints fusing, therefore I do not recommend scaling it any lower than that. If the leg joints are stiff, you may need to put some pressure and break the overhanging filament that has fused them together. If your filament is too brittle, then there is the risk that the joins will break.

I loved this model, but I have to say the instructions are lacking quite a bit.

this is bar none the most fun model I've printed. I skipped the glue, intending to back later when shipment arrives, but will not be needed. 100% made picking up this hobby worth it

Yea, the glue is only really necessary on scaled down versions, but it stops some of the pieces falling off, your print looks great!

EXCELLENTLY DONE! This is ultimately my said favorite 3D model I've yet to print in years! Thank you so much! a few joints could use a little tightening, but nothing this hobbyist can't fix! *added note, would recommend printing the arms in PETG due to the connectors, as I slightly broke one. printed in: Polyterra Chrome Silver/Polylite PLA Yellow/Engenius Black PLA+/Transp. Yellow PETG

This was a lot of fun. Thank you very much for this :) I don't really remember the Zoids anime but it's the kind of toys I had back then..

Scaled mine up to 150%. Such a cool model. Hope you make more of these like the other Ligers in the series. Thanks!
