Hello, could you tell me what's the "Transmission Distance" ?

Hey, is a measure of how much light filament lets through. Each filament (manufacturer and color) has a different value. In principle, you will have Red with TD 2.4 = then you have to print 3 layers of 0.08 so that it "has" the correct color on a different background. Everty model takes value specified during creation. If you use a "similar" color with a different TD than specified. The result will be "little" different than the autor ;).

Thank you very much for taking the time to respond to me. I had never really asked myself this kind of question, I generally focus more on the aspect of strength. I better understand why you provide all these details for printing, it is indeed important. However, sellers are rather stingy with technical data, and although Bambu Lab is one of those that provide the most data about their filaments, this information does not appear in their Technical Data Sheet. How did you find this information for Sunlu and Elegoo filaments?

Even when the manufacturer provides this information, it still over time changes :). Each production batch is slightly different. I’ve never encountered a color with consistent TD or even the exact color (shade) same. However, the differences are minor. Here’s a link to the database with some filaments https://3dfilamentprofiles.com/filaments. And I always do these two tests: https://makerworld.com/en/models/530439#profileId-447255 and: https://makerworld.com/en/models/84566#profileId-90403
